Life Coaching with Cindy Reed LCSW

Life Coaching is for passionate people who may be stuck at an important point in their journey and need support and increased clarity to move forward. Just as a sports coach motivates and pushes an athlete to top performance, a life coach motivates an individual to facilitate personal awareness and reach their goals.

Coaching bridges the gap between where someone is today and where they want to be in the future. It is a process of learning and action. It’s a conversation. It’s a time set aside to focus on your hopes, dreams and desires.

Together we will:
– Create a strategic plan to make a change in your life.
– Identify your values, strengths and passions
– Figure out what area(s) of your life need immediate attention & prioritize
 – Move past the issues that have been holding you back

Yoga for your DOSHAS

Are you a vata, pitta or kapha?

Yoga for the Doshas – with Patrice Keitt 500 RYT

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of wellness and is considered the sister science of yoga. According to ayurveda, each individual is made up of three energies called doshas: vata, pitta and kapha.

Each of the doshas has distinct characteristics as well as tendencies toward specific strengths, weaknesses and imbalances.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to determine your dosha and develop an understanding of how to approach your individual yoga practice to create well being using ayurvedic principles. We’ll do a yoga sequence and guided mediation designed to balance each of the doshas, allowing you to tailor your practice to your specific needs.

Safe Headstand Workshop TBA/ Patrice Keitt 500 RYT

Sirsasana, or headstand, is known as the “king of all asanas” because of its profound physical and psychological effects.

If you’ve ever been afraid of trying this challenging posture, here is your opportunity!

In this class, we will approach headstand in a safe and effective way by preparing the body through an intelligent vinyasa sequence and learning proper alignment and technique (no jumping please!). Patrice also offers…CHAKRA BALANCING WORKSHOPS & Yoga and the Doshas TBA with Patrice…..Chakras are energetic centers in the body that represent the different elements from which we were made: earth, water, fire, air and space. Each chakra is associated with particular organs, senses and emotions within the body and governs how we handle specific life issues, both within ourselves and in our interactions with the world.

When the chakras are open and balanced, we experience a sense of physical, mental and emotional ease and well-being. However, the stresses of daily life and the accumulation of negative emotions can block the flow of energy in the chakras and lead to dis-ease and suffering.

In this inspiring workshop, we’ll use asana (physical postures), mantra (sound), yantra (images/shape) and meditation to balance the chakras that lie along your spine, freeing your energy so you can experience happiness, wholeness and peace.

Amanda McMaine ERYT   Yoga Workshop  11/7/15  &  January 2016 amanda   SIGN UP HERE $50 A class with Amanda is a somatic meditation. How are our physical bodies designed to contain, move, and express the pranic energy, both on the mat and in our daily lives? Beginning in stillness and slowly allowing the breath to initiatemovement results in an organic and deeply integrating progression in the poses. The practice of yoga nidra completes this journey, inviting a feeling of vibrant embodied wholeness, connected to the Source and in harmony with the world around us. Come engage the deep sense of stillness and embodied peace that results from this style of practice.Since childhood Amanda has been interested in deepening her experience of the world and relationships by deepening the experience of the body. This lead to an ever-evolving practice of yoga, conscious union with the infinite, that has spanned 36 years and inspired her to seek the guidance of some of the world’s greatest teachers. An ongoing study of the alignment principles of the asanas was the initial fascination and her growing understanding of kinesiology eventually lead her to the world of yoga therapy. A yearning to experience the inner world of the asanas awakened a practice that involves an embodied understanding of how our physical bodies are designed to contain, move, and express the pranic energy, both on the mat and in our daily lives. The deep sense of stillness and embodied and peace that results from this style of practice is what she continues to aspire to and share with students. www.amandayoga.com
